We are seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager to own our Content Platform product. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the product’s go-to-market strategy, collaborating with Product, Sales, Marketing, GTM PMM, Pricing & Packaging, and Enablement teams to develop compelling strategies and sales enablement materials. Crucially, you will leverage your deep understanding of technical personas to ensure our messaging resonates with those audiences. You will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing. This is a unique opportunity to drive the success of a core offering and showcase how Contentful’s platform empowers builders, creators, and enterprises worldwide to create digital experiences at scale.
Product Positioning & Messaging: You will develop clear, compelling, and unique product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for our Content Platform, ensuring they align with Contentful’s overall brand narrative. Your role will involve effectively communicating both technical and business benefits of the platform to internal and external stakeholders, using language tailored to target audiences, particularly developers and other technical personas. Additionally, you will incorporate a deep understanding of customer fit to ensure that messaging resonates with real-world needs. By actively nurturing relationships with customers, you will refine and enhance product positioning, contributing to the platform’s overall success.
Market & Competitive Analysis: To support the growth of the Content Platform, you will conduct ongoing market and competitive research. This will help you stay ahead of industry trends, competitor capabilities, and emerging technologies. By synthesizing these insights, you will provide actionable recommendations that guide product strategies and influence roadmap decisions, ensuring that the Content Platform remains at the forefront of innovation.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution: You will collaborate with Product Management and the GTM PMM team to craft and execute go-to-market plans for new features and product enhancements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Partnerships, you will develop launch materials, campaigns, and strategies designed to drive adoption, expansion, and customer success. Additionally, you will work alongside Pricing & Packaging teams to refine pricing models and product packaging strategies that reflect market trends and maximize revenue opportunities.
Sales Enablement: Another critical aspect of your role will be partnering with the GTM PMM and Field Enablement teams to create and deliver impactful sales enablement tools. These tools may include presentations, competitive battle cards, product demos, and training sessions that are specifically designed to address developer and technical user needs. By regularly engaging with Sales, you will gather feedback to refine messaging and provide ongoing support throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless and effective process.
Technical Storytelling & Thought Leadership: You will act as a subject matter expert on Contentful’s Content Platform, translating complex technical capabilities into relatable business outcomes. Your responsibilities will include creating technical enablement content, demo scripts, and product tours that emphasize the platform's differentiators, best practices, and developer-centric messaging. Through this, you will help establish Contentful as a thought leader in the industry while driving engagement with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Performance Measurement: Your role will include tracking and analyzing product marketing performance metrics, such as adoption rates, win/loss trends, and campaign success rates. By evaluating these metrics, you will identify areas for improvement and optimize strategies, leading to better outcomes. You will also report your findings to leadership, providing data-driven recommendations for future launches and ongoing product marketing initiatives.
