About the opportunity

As a Sr. Learning Operations & Certification Manager at Contentful, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our learning operations and certification programs. You will play a critical part in ensuring our customers and partners gain the skills and certifications needed to maximize their success with our solutions. Reporting to the Director of Learning Services, you will drive operational excellence while ensuring alignment with Contentful’s strategic goals.

This role will report into the Learning Services team and is not a people management role.

What to expect?

  • Define and drive forward the vision and strategy for our learning tech stack, most critically our LMS
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for certifications, including exams, recertification processes, and credential management
  • Implement efficient workflows and standards that guide users to operate successfully and confidently within our learning ecosystem 
  • Continuously drive operational efficiency within Learning Services operations
  • Manage our learning technologies on an ongoing basis, including vendor management, user management, course management, troubleshooting, and contract renewals
  • Partner closely with our IT and Revenue Operations teams on complex technical matters such as integrations, data protection, reporting and analytics, user access, and more
  • Configure and govern our learning tech stack in a way that enables us to capture clean and accurate data on all global learning experiences
  • Use analytics to measure program effectiveness, learner engagement, and business impact
  • Ensure certification programs are aligned with industry standards and the needs of various audiences
  • Prepare performance reports with actionable insights
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and others to promote learning programs

What you need to be successful?

  • A bachelor's degree
  • At least 4 years experience serving as the strategic owner and operator of an LMS in a complex environment
  • At least 4 years of experience working with customers in a certification development, program management, or equivalent role
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to resolve issues with a combination of tact, empathy, and (when necessary) firmness
  • Strong technical aptitude for learning, using, and troubleshooting software
  • Natural organizational skills and attention to detail as well as a penchant for creating, documenting, and following processes
  • Proficiency in navigating dynamic environments, adeptly managing ambiguity, and remaining agile in fast-paced, evolving settings.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical matters and communicate key information to a variety of audiences, including leadership and end-users
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and drive alignment cross-functionally and with external vendors
  • Proficiency with Thought Industries, Credly, Caveon, and Tableau are a bonus

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
