The Campaign Manager team under Supply works on building and enhancing the self-service tools that are used by Merchants to create and edit their campaigns on Groupon. We are looking for a software engineer to join our team to support and evolve the design, implementation, and operational support of internal systems that span the business side and engineering departments.

You’ll spend time on the following:

• You will take full ownership of the technical aspects of our global technology infrastructure, ensuring that the platform is being used to its fullest potential through designing and building applications around our customer’s needs.
• You will Design/Develop/Migrate/Maintain a myriad of Merchant - Campaign Manager applications and services for AWS Cloud & Kubernetes environment.
• You will collaborate within the team and outside teams in the organizations to ensure that required business features, high performance, and cost-effective solutions are implemented effectively.
• Build service artifacts, estimate and plan for deployment, and coordinate timelines and tasks with project management and teams.
• Improve service stability and performance by identifying critical service-specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses.
• Drive the discussion and decisions on technical topics related to the team’s scope.

We’re excited about you if you have:

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering from a recognised institute
• 10+ years of industry experience in developing and supporting web applications, and microservices, and troubleshooting internal and external requests /bug reports in a distributed environment.
• Strong coding skills in one or more object-oriented programming languages like Java or C++
• Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, data structure, and algorithms fundamentals.
• Must have experience with REST API-based development of microservices, relational databases (MySQL or Postgres), ORMs
• Exposure to asynchronous messaging platforms like ActiveMQ, and Kafka is plus.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.
