About the role

Roku is looking for a skilled FP&A Manager to join the Player Streaming Devices FP&A team.  This role will be a direct business partner to the Retail Sales and Strategy org and play a critical role in providing leadership with analytical and operational support.  As a trusted partner, the person in this role will have an outsized impact on mission critical deliverables and analyses.   

Critical to success in this role is the ability to balance competing priorities, navigate a fluid and ambiguous environment and drive projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background and analytical mindset, advanced modeling abilities and be able to collaborate effectively with team members and key stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. 

The job provides the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of retail sales, product strategy and user acquisition in the streaming industry.  This is an individual contributor role and will be based out of Roku’s San Jose HQ. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $170,000 and $178,500 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. 

  

What you’ll be doing 

  • Own the unit sales forecast process, partnering with the Sales Operations team to project sales volumes across all US retail products and channels  
  • Drive annual and long-range planning with Sales/Sales Ops to project unit volumes, leveraging both tops-down and bottoms-up methodologies and striking the right balance between precision and speed of actionable insights  
  • Manage consolidation of the Player P&L, analyzing key trends and surfacing relevant and digestible business insight  
  • Provide analytical support and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of changes 
  • Conduct deep dives when observing abnormal trends 
  • Own the creation and publication of various reporting packages to facilitate monthly forecast and business reviews 
  • Develop robust models to support ad-hoc analysis 

  

We’re excited if you have 

  • 7+ years of FP&A experience, in a high growth consumer electronics, e-commerce, or retail company 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related subject; MBA or CFA preferred 
  • Solid understanding of revenue and gross profit drivers of a hardware P&L 
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining complex financial models that are scalable and intuitive 
  • Demonstrated business partnership experience at the senior and exec management level 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats to senior executives 
  • Exceptional skill at effectively building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders, manage multiple competing priorities, and drive projects to completion  
  • Equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. Don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and work at the lowest level of detail, but is just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team 
  • Unafraid of ambiguity. Embraces rapid changes and knows how to find direction and craft a plan of action even when none is given 
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills 
  • Anaplan and NetSuite experience a plus
