Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in program management.
  • Experience in managing technically challenging projects involving multiple stakeholders and constraints.
  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google software services, knowledge of compute/storage resource management, or data center infrastructure operations and constraints.
  • Experience with Python.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

  • Coordinate and deliver program communications in collaboration with program stakeholders, including metrics progress, meeting notes, meeting AIs, decision/escalation logs, newsletters, and websites. 
  • Author stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences, program outcome in collaboration with program stakeholders.  
  • Work with cross-functional teams and be accountable for meeting OKRs, providing time bound deliverables, improving legacy systems and processes.
  • Plan requirements with internal customers and drive projects through the entire life-cycle while managing constraints and potentially conflicting objectives.
