Strategy & Innovation is a dynamic and independent research and development unit within Celonis, focused on pioneering groundbreaking business models. Our department is composed of two divisions: Strategy (responsible for contributing a contextual outside-in perspective to create holistic strategic assets that drive outcomes across the organization) and Innovation (embodied by Celonis Labs, which concentrates on ideation, experimentation, conceptualization and incubation, identifying and validating ideas that can evolve into scalable solutions over time)

Celonis Garage is a new unit within the Strategy & Innovation department. It is a key innovation hub designed to accelerate the incubation and adoption of new technologies, conduct hands-on experiments with adjacent technologies, and engage in customer-centric co-innovation. It supports the incubation of new solutions with dedicated engineering capacity enabling fast product iterations. Moreover, it will be focused on scaling Market Intelligence efforts globally, contributing to the delivery of impactful outcomes that directly support our competitive positioning, analyst relationships, and broader strategic goals.

The Role:

As a Senior Product Owner in Celonis Garage, you will be instrumental in shaping and supporting the direction and execution of a diverse portfolio of innovative initiatives, contributing to exploratory and new  product developments within our fast-paced environment. You will be leveraging your product leadership to bring cutting edge ideas to life, such as the Networks initiative (a solution designed to revolutionize how businesses interact with their partners, suppliers, and customers by enabling seamless data sharing).

In this role, you will work alongside a Principal Product Manager (who owns the overarching product strategy and roadmap) and take the lead in driving the execution and delivery of the roadmap and ideation of new innovations. You will translate strategic direction into concrete requirements and serve as the voice of the customer within the scrum team.

The work you’ll do:

• Own Roadmap Delivery: Take full ownership of product features, leading them from ideation through implementation and successful launch.
• Develop Requirements: Translate strategic goals into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications that engineering and design can effectively act on.
• Drive Product Discovery: Work hands-on with customers, apply design thinking methods to identify and ideate new opportunities, conduct interviews, run experiments, and validate assumptions to shape innovative features and product improvements.
• Experimentation and Validation: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and gather user feedback, contributing to the validation efforts of new ideas.
• Be the Voice of the Customer: Represent the needs of users and internal stakeholders, ensuring the user experience is front and center in product decisions.
• Run Agile Processes: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement in close collaboration with your cross-functional team.
• Collaborate Widely: Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and GTM teams to ensure smooth product delivery and cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure Product Quality: Monitor KPIs, customer feedback, and product performance to identify areas for optimization and iterate on delivered features.

The qualifications you need: 

• 5–8 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in the enterprise software domain.
• Familiarity with data modeling, E2E data integration, or workflow orchestration tools.
• Proven ability to transform complex requirements into executable work for technical teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decisions.
• Customer Focus: A strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for understanding user needs.
• Innovation Mindset: A demonstrated passion for innovation, experimentation, and a willingness to explore uncharted territories. Experience in early-stage product development or startup environments is a significant plus.
• Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, backlog management tools (e.g., Jira), and user story creation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in driving product delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of enterprise networks and B2B data sharing ( platforms like SAP Business Network, EDI portals, or other enterprise integration solutions)
• Background in supply chain management or similar enterprise domains.
• Experience working on innovative or exploratory projects.
• Design Thinking: Proven ability to lead and facilitate design thinking workshops to drive user-centric problem-solving and generate creative solutions.
• Lean Startup: Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Startup principles and methodologies, including the Lean Canvas, hypothesis-driven  development, and validated learning.
