Software Development Engineer, Paragon Case Management System, Selling Partner Experience

Our team is responsible for Case Management System, Paragon that serves 145+ Amazon business with 60K active users per month.
We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems under high loads. Our systems manage case resolution systems with hundreds of millions of requests, and respond to millions of service requests. We have both frontend and backend code stack and opportunities. As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of systems built natively in AWS. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.

A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of systems built natively. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
