Hybrid

Why Deliveroo?

Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

The Role

Reporting to the Enterprise Risk Senior Manager, and ultimately the VP of Assurance, and joining a high-performing team, you will be a part of one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech companies.
Being right at the heart of improving Deliveroo’s responses to risk, we are looking for someone who has experience with Enterprise Risk Management. In particular, partnering with business leaders to identify, assess and mitigate key risks. Overall, we are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring that Deliveroo is equipped to manage and respond to whatever may come our way.
We operate a hybrid work model; the Assurance team comes into the office three times a week.

What you'll do:

This is a Global role, operating from the London HQ, involving multiple risk, control and assurance-related activities. Our team is constantly evolving, so we are looking for someone who can adapt quickly and isn’t afraid to navigate ambiguity.
As well as supporting the Enterprise Risk Senior Manager to further develop the Group's Risk Management Framework, you will be responsible for supporting the identification, assessment, and management of risks that may impact the organisation, and will work closely with various teams to ensure they are effectively mitigated, monitored and reported in line with the company's risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification and assessment of enterprise-wide risks, including financial, operational, regulatory, technological, and reputational risks.
  • Participate in risk assessment workshops and collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the risk impact on business operations.
  • Help monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and assist in the development of risk dashboards to track risk exposure across the organisation.
  • Actively contribute to risk reports for senior management and relevant committees, ensuring timely and accurate communication of risk status.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in identifying control gaps and help propose solutions to strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of risk management policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the communication of risk policies across the organisation to ensure compliance and awareness.
  • Help maintain and improve the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
  • Assist in the integration of risk management principles into business processes and decision-making.
  • Gather, analyse, and synthesise risk-related data to support decision-making and strategy development.
  • Document risk assessments, mitigation actions, and resolutions clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including finance, legal, IT, and operations, to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide support for risk workshops, audits, and other risk-related initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in risk management, audit/internal audit, compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, or enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with risk management software or data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management principles and practices.
  • Understanding of financial and operational risks faced by technology businesses.

Benefits & Diversity

That means we have no judgment when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is experience with (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest growing start-up's around
