We are seeking a highly driven Business Team Associate to join our team in Berlin/Barcelona.
Here, you will have the unique opportunity to work at one of Europe’s most exciting Fintechs and contribute to our growth and expansion in a cross functional team. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive business strategies and operational change, as well as ensuring that N26 is a compliant and trusted bank. The scope of Lending & Savings team includes all bank lending products such as overdraft, consumer credit and instalment loans) and deposits.
Become a subject matter expert for your segment and understand the in and outs of the business, its infrastructural setup and related processes
Proactively assess business performance and identify opportunities for strategic growth and innovation
Prepare business cases to assess cost and impact of potential opportunities
Support high-impact initiatives end-to-end from initial strategic design to delivery execution as well as ongoing improvement and management
Be responsible for monitoring and analysing the external providers’ performance and ensure key KPIs and SLAs are meeting the company goals
Own the relationship and performance of strategic external providers in the segment and ensure optimal performance and successful collaboration
Become the connective tissue between other departments at N26, including Product & Tech, Data Analytics, Growth, Compliance, Legal, Accounting & Finance, Operations, Fraud, and Trust & Safety
Contribute to the definition of strategic objectives at both segment and team level
Fully leverage and further develop critical business skills, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, vendor management, stakeholder and project management and leadership in a high-functioning segment environment
Background:
You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, startups, banking or corporate strategy roles (not including internships)
You have experience leading cross-functional projects end-to-end (from ideation to execution) and collaborating with diverse teams to drive strategic outcomes
You have experience putting together business cases and making data-driven recommendations
You have experience in conducting research and analysis on market trends, competition, and customer behaviour
You have proven vendor management experience and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
You have at least graduated with a Bachelor degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field from a top-tier university
Experience in working with lending and credit products is a strong plus
Skills:
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across departments to develop ideas, identify opportunities and resolve conflicts
Ability to understand key business drivers and proactively recommend solutions that can be effectively supported by data
A growth mindset and agile approach to problem-solving are key
You possess exceptional analytical and Excel skills
You have a strong understanding of SQL and are able to independently acquire relevant data and generate insights
You have strong visualisation and storytelling skills with Powerpoint
Passion for the banking industry and an interest in deepening your knowledge on how N26 works
