About the job

Twilio is looking for a Video Editor to join our growing production team. You will be responsible for leading the post-production process of a wide range of video content, ensuring high-quality, creative, and impactful visuals across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to create video assets that enhance Twilio’s internal communication and marketing objectives while maintaining brand consistency.

Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience in video editing, preferably for marketing, branding, or internal communications. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in color grading, audio balancing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
  • A deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and editing techniques to deliver engaging and polished video content.
  • Strong analytical skills. Proactively and creatively solve issues as they arise.  Participates actively through project life cycles in pitching concepts, brainstorming, scoping, ideation, scripting, feedback rounds and project retrospectives.
  • Manage relationships and track budget resourcing of third-party vendors and contractors that collaborate with Brand and Marketing Teams.
  • Strong verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills. Clearly able to communicate project plans, status, issues, risks, and requirements to relevant audiences.  Proven track record working with teams across multiple departments (cross-functional groups a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, and platform-specific requirements.
  • An ability to manage feedback loops, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and work under tight deadlines.

What?

As a Video Editor, you will:

  • Execute post-production on video projects, including editing raw footage, creating motion graphics, color grading, and sound design.
  • Collaborate with creative producers, project managers, and designers to develop video content that aligns with project goals.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth handoff of footage and efficient workflows from pre-production to final delivery.
  • Innovate and experiment with editing styles, techniques, and visual trends to enhance the overall quality of Twilio’s video content.
  • Ensure that all video deliverables are of the highest technical and creative standards, maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Organize and maintain video assets for future use, ensuring that files are stored and accessible for other team members.

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including branding, marketing, and internal communication videos.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) for creating and enhancing visuals and sound.
  • Proven experience in motion graphics design, including the creation of custom animations, transitions, lower thirds, and graphical overlays.
  • Strong understanding of color grading techniques and tools (such as DaVinci Resolve or Lumetri) to achieve a consistent look and feel across different video projects.
  • Audio editing and sound design skills, with an ability to balance and enhance soundtracks, dialogue, and sound effects for optimal quality.
  • Thorough knowledge of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and best practices for video compression and export for platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, and social media.
  • Experience working with various types of footage, including multi-camera edits, green screen keying, and visual effects (VFX) compositing.
  • Ability to lead and manage post-production workflows, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining a high standard of quality, often under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to continuously improving the editing process and ensuring all videos meet brand standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable receiving feedback from stakeholders and working within cross-functional teams to bring video content to life.
  • Experience using team collaboration tools like Airtable, Frame.io, Figma, or other project management and review platforms to manage assets and gather feedback.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video production, including hardware, software, or file-related concerns.

Desired:

  • Experience in 3D animation or working with tools like Cinema 4D or Blender for more advanced motion graphics and VFX work.
  • Familiarity with streaming and live video production workflows for online events or virtual conferences.
  • Basic knowledge of camera equipment and lighting techniques to understand how footage is captured and improve the collaboration with the production team.

Location

 This role will be remote and based in Colombia.

Travel

Approximately 30% travel is anticipated
