Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a variety of data integration technologies to solve problems.
  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex finance information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and the ability to communicate effectively and influence senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and focus on continuous improvement.

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

As a Technical Infrastructure (TI) Analyst, you'll find innovative ways to deliver controllership excellence in partnership with our Technical Infrastructure (TI) and Finance teams. You will build a comprehensive understanding of the fleet of machines and other TI associated spend, and use this to enhance and streamline reporting in the space in collaboration with our business partners. In addition, you will also use your expertise to identify potential risks and opportunities on the horizon for Finance and the TI business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Own Controllership reporting on machine deployments, depreciation, useful life, utilization, state of the fleet and other TI related spend areas.
  • Provide commentary for flux analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis, partnering with the business and FP&A to assess the impact of business drivers.
  • Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leadership and business partners.
  • Maintain suite of analytics tools and dashboards to support advanced modeling, verifying completeness and accuracy while owning the roadmap for bugs and feature requests. Run sensitivity models to aid in strategic decision making and long range planning.
  • Partner with FP&A and FinEng teams to align on modeling assumptions and requirements and support automated reporting solutions.
