Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!

Benevity is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help advance our mission of creating a positive impact globally, by extending our platform via APIs and integrations. As a Product Manager at Benevity, you’ll refine your skills while working on impactful products that enable leading companies to engage their employees and customers in meaningful ways. You will lead our API product strategy and roadmap within our global enterprise SaaS platform, collaborating closely with engineering teams in an outcome-driven environment. This role requires a deep understanding of API platforms or frameworks for enterprise use in a B2B SaaS environment. Leveraging scalable technology investments, you will thrive in a culture driven by our core value of "we-are-we."

We welcome experienced candidates from diverse backgrounds who bring unique perspectives and a passion for social impact. If you’re excited to contribute to a culture of goodness and make a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do:

  • Define product vision and strategy based on an understanding of market conditions, as well as stakeholder, client, and partner needs
  • Deliver an API factory to create reusable, standardized, and scalable APIs across the organization
  • Work alongside the development teams in defining and delivering state-of-the-art APIs to our clients and partners
  • Manage our API products throughout their lifecycle, from understanding market requirements to prioritizing features and validating solutions
  • Engage and interact with key clients, partners, and causes to understand their problems and convert insights into integration opportunities
  • Partner with Product Marketing to package and productize Benevity APIs for cross-sell, upsell and partnership bookings growth. Understand and guide how to price and package our APIs to support the go-to-market process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to integrate partner capabilities across the Benevity ecosystem and product lines.
  • Use discovery, experimentation, and analytics to bring impactful features to market
  • Become an authority on our APIs and native integration products, representing them with excellence both inside and outside Benevity
  • Be passionate about the product and about impeccable execution

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of senior product management experience, ideally in SaaS, with at least 3 years focused on APIs and integrations
  • Experience leading product teams focused on one or more of the following areas:
    • Platform services and APIs
    • Data portability solutions
    • Third party integrations
  • Strong technical background with hands-on knowledge of REST, GraphQL, OAuth, Webhooks, and other API standards.
  • Proven expertise in the management and optimization of API management platforms, including but not limited to Kong, Mulesoft, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Gateway
  • A “systems” thinker mindset - you can see the big picture of how technology architectures work together and also the pros and cons of individual technology selections and how they drive, benefit, or limit long-term scalability
  • Experience working with clients and partners on API-based integrations in complex technical environments
  • Prior product management experience in a technical environment
  • Strong team collaboration skills, including listening, learning, participating, and communicating proactively
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes
