Benevity’s Financial Operations Manager, Managed Services will lead the Managed Services team for the Benevity Partner Foundations to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of our process and people. The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for the performance of their team and execution of the FinOps processes. The Financial Operations Manager, Managed Services will collaborate with other teams and by doing so will drive efficiencies in process and product. This individual should be skilled at identifying and executing on the key enablers that will ensure their team’s high performance, as well as providing the necessary feedback and guidance to ensure the team’s success in maintaining and continually improving the Operations. 

This role would require you to work out of the Calgary Benevity office, but offers a hybrid option currently. Relocation would be required if you are not living in Calgary.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of our Managed Services; currently Global DAF, Single Currency DAF, Top 25 Reviews and Gifts of Securities
  • Driving and leading upsells and cross-sells related to our managed services to close and revenue recognition.
  • Work closely with the client success, engineering, finance, sales and AI teams to identify and resolve any technical issues that may impact the managed services.
  • Develop and grow the relationship between the client and Benevity to ensure client programs are moving and growing in the right direction to drive revenue growth
  • Conduct regular audits of processes to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and scalability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, specialists and administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with other Benevity teams to drive efficiencies and cross team collaboration. In the process, break down barriers to progress to ensure successful implementation and collaboration.
  • Manage major cross team projects to develop, implement and maintain scalable protocols and processes
  • Regularly engage with clients around funding and financial operations experiences to seek feedback that helps Benevity and their team improve solutions

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, or related field with 5-7 years of relevant experience 
  • Results-oriented and is resourceful and proactive
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with clients and various levels of internal stakeholders to effectively communicate goals, requirements and proposed solutions
  • Experience and proven skills in identifying and mapping business problems to complex technical/technology solutions
  • A commitment to both client success and operational effectiveness
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Comfortable overseeing a variety of issues to resolution with an analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently with strong judgment
  • Resilient, and thrives in a multi-tasking, start-up environment and can adjust priorities on-the-fly while managing a diverse and full workload
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite of products
  • Team-oriented with a fun-spirit and sense of humor
