Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technical sales.
  • 3 years of experience in a client-facing Cloud computing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments, particularly involving NetApp systems.
  • Experience in lab creations, automation scripts, and API based deployment methodologies.
  • Experience with storage, including NetApp, solutions within key verticals like Electronic Design Automation, Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software, and Media and Entertainment in Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of NetApp technology, including ONTAP, and its integration with Google Cloud (GCNV).
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to achieve a broader organizational goal.

You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Storage Specialist Customer Engineer, you will be responsible for incubating, growing and creating an efficient, leveraged GTM model for Google Cloud’s Storage business, beginning with Google Cloud's NetApp Volumes (GCNV) offering. You will require collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Storage Sales Specialists, Google Cloud and NetApp and partner sales and GTM teams to deliver business goals, develop innovative sales acceleration and customer adoption tools and foster growth through direct, attached, and cross-selling strategies within new and existing customer accounts. You will develop differentiated and customer-value-add solutions in partnership with other Google Cloud teams to integrate storage offerings, starting with GCNV, for key verticals like Banking and Insurance, Automotive, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software and Internet and Media and Entertainment, and for Data Management and AI applications in Google Cloud for in-Cloud and on-premises users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Become a trusted advisor, guiding customers on data storage, management, and performance using GCNV. Lead technical engagements, including product briefings and proof-of-concepts, coordinating resources to address customer needs.
  • Ensure successful implementation of Google Cloud solutions, particularly GCNV, providing proactive guidance and support. Develop industry-specific blueprints and best practices for GCNV integration and optimization.
  • Gather and represent customer feedback to influence product development, ensuring solutions align with real-world Biotech use cases.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure solutions align with technical capabilities and sales strategies. Build relationships with customers, partners, and ISVs, establishing Google Cloud and GCNV as the go-to solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as needed.
