Cloud Revenue Accounting Manager

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  
• Experience with implementation of revenue accounting systems (RevPro, RAR, etc.) or developing and implementing customized/homegrown revenue accounting systems.
• Experience in US GAAP accounting principles and in revenue accounting (ASC 606) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience improving business processes and systems, with a proven ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  
• Experience with financial processes such as Order to Cash cycle and related risks and controls.
• Proven ability to lead and drive complex initiatives cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment across a large, complex, global organization.
  
• Excellent analytical skills (SQL), combined with solid business judgment and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
• Demonstrated strategic and risk based approach.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that Google has processes and controls. In addition, you will be an integral part of the end-to-end financial reporting process and have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams. You will be part of the Cloud Controllership team and will coordinate closely across all finance areas on financial reporting matters.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$221,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of revenue accounting systems, ensuring seamless integration with other financial systems and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure accurate and timely business recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable accounting standards.
• Develop and document system requirements, test plans, and user acceptance criteria and identify opportunities to leverage technology to automate and improve business accounting process.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements related to business recognition, and effectively communicate business accounting operational policies and procedures to cross-functional teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risk.
