Risk Manager, Escalation Management and Prevention

To continue building customer trust the Escalation Management & Prevention (EMP) team works with sellers, brands, vendors and customers to identify and prevent infringement of intellectual property (e. g. copyright, trademark, counterfeit) and other abuse in our product catalog.

We are looking for an analytical candidate to join the EMEA EMP Team to investigate complex incidents of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other product abuse.
You will apply your excellent judgement to identify underlying issues, to improve processes, and to partner with other Amazon product and compliance teams including Product Quality & Safety, Community Trust, Seller Performance, and Brand Registry. To address root causes you will launch programs, establish process controls, recommend revisions and ensure alignment with risk and regulatory requirements.

As an individual contributor, you will work closely with key Selling Partners, and implement policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers, to defend intellectual property, to protect brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and opportunities through careful business analysis
- Experience handling confidential information
- Proficiency in at least one additional language aside of English, preferably Mandarin, French, or German, to facilitate risk management in diverse international business environments
