Job Description

Microsoft has a robust and fast evolving portfolio of cybersecurity products and de facto is the largest cybersecurity vendor in the world. Microsoft’s cybersecurity portfolio spans brands like Entra, Defender, Purview, Sentinel, Intune, etc. and covers end user identities, data, devices, networks, servers and workloads. Many of the products in this portfolio are segment leaders and leverage the tight coupling and native integrations they have with our adjacent offerings in Azure infrastructure, Modern Work Productivity apps, etc. Apart from growing in our existing pillars, we are also investing in new dimensions such as a Copilot for Security, Security for AI, Security platform, Developer/ISV plays, etc.

 

We are looking for Director, Business Planning that will lead the Security for AI workstream and Security Marketplace workstream. There is a lot of AI activity in the company and multiple Copilots that are being launched, and the security of these Copilots themselves is a crucial aspect to adoption. This encapsulates providing Data Security to all the files that the copilot access/generate, protecting the models themselves from prompt injection, to meeting compliance needs of all these prompts and responses. Every Copilot has its own licensing and there is need to drive and establish durable principles for monetization across the Microsoft portfolio.

 

As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to develop a full portfolio understanding and be able to support and manage the team during manager/LT absences. In this high visibility role, you will be part of a high impact team that drives the business strategy, packaging, and pricing for Microsoft’s Security portfolio. Your goal is to develop new pricing, packaging and promotion strategies that drive growth in customer acquisition and LTV. You will partner with engineering to deeply understand and influence product design and value, work with finance to model scenarios and create forecasts and targets, and work with product marketing and sales on go to market strategies. This role requires strategic thinking, business leadership & acumen, cross-group collaboration, analytical skills, and solid executive communication skills.
