We are looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to work with attorneys and manage complex antitrust matters and government regulatory investigations as well as other complex litigation matters such as IP infringement, commercial disputes, and employment disputes.
Your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks; conducting fact finding, analyzing data, understanding the details of case issues and claims, identifying relevant custodians, interviewing internal witnesses, drafting legal hold notices, collecting data from various tools and business partner teams, organizing voluminous case materials, using various Amazon’s internal database software programs, scheduling large numbers of depositions, managing outside counsel on data requests, updating budget and legal spend, supporting deposition prep, collaborating with eDiscovery vendors on document collections and production, providing legal support for litigation matters from inception to closure, including discovery, summary judgement work, and hearing prep. You will work directly with cross-functional stakeholders to drive the best practices and serving as practice group liaison to support a key practice group within the Litigation & Regulatory team. You will flex your skills to creatively solve challenges that arise and streamline the processes for efficiency. The job will also require project management and vendor management skills, specifically to manage alternative legal service providers for processing high volume prelitigation legal disputes such as subpoenas, demands, arbitrations, etc. Some travel may be required for appearing on behalf of Amazon at small claim hearings in Canada and the U.S.
Successful candidates are self-starters with excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail, ability to quickly jump into less familiar areas and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, experience in prioritizing and triaging a high volume of data requests, great research skills and an analytical mindset to develop process, demonstrate sound judgment, superior writing, interpersonal and communication skills, work under pressure effectively, and ability to collaborate and professionally interact with attorneys, legal professionals, finance team members, engineers, and business team members at all levels.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of our Seattle, WA, USA corporate offices:• 5+ years of paralegal or comparable legal experience in antitrust, government regulatory or litigation.
• A mix of law firm serving technology companies or in-house high tech or large retail business experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the Paralegal field (preferred)
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high volume, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment.
• High standards for your work product and ownership of your assigned work.
• Strong desire to learn and be curious and thrive in ambiguity.
• Excellent project management skills to manage a high volume of cases and meet competing deadlines.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $133,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
