Amazon Air (AIR) is in search of an Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Operations to join the Maintenance Operations team (MXO). The MXO Team works 24/7 within the Amazon Air Network Control Center (NCC) located at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (KCVG). MXOβs primary focus is to provide real-time technical information regarding AOG aircraft, fleet health, and readiness for the AIR global network. Critical thinking is necessary for required communication of aircraft maintenance impact on complex network execution and contingency planning.
Key job responsibilities
- Enter data into tracking systems and monitor all aircraft maintenance disruptions world-wide for effective communications with Amazon Air stakeholders
- Track Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS), Category three operations (CAT III), and Lower Landing Minima capabilities to ensure all aircraft systems are operational for inclement weather, extended over water operations, and station capability preparedness
- Monitor maintenance disruptions, distinguish between relevant and irrelevant technical information in order to contribute to the formulation of data-driven operational decisions and recommendations
- Work under supervision to communicate with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable aircraft maintenance related solutions
- Develop relationships with air carriers to gather appropriate information and data to analyze with the team and make recommendations to and for the NCC while acting as one of several liaisons between carrier maintenance and Amazon Air
- Engage other Amazon business units as necessary and when directed to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
- Participate in and contribute to external and internal conference calls and meetings as needed
- Supplement post-launch support plans (e.g., postmortem, issue/ticket management, etc.), as directed, and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence utilizing provided best-practice principles
- Work flexible hours, shift work, weekends, and holidays as required- 1+ Years airline, military, or equivalent experience with 14CFR 121 operations in line maintenance or maintenance control
- FAA Part 65 Airframe and Powerplant certificate or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e Excel, Word, and Outlook)- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgement where clear guidelines may not exist
