Key job responsibilities
In this capacity the Reverse Logistics Global Business Operations Manager will: 1) Oversee global operations while developing and driving key performance indicators and mechanisms to effectively manage performance, 2) ) Optimize returns processing and workflow by driving continuous to improve the efficiency and of the operations to enhance the customer experience and reduce cost, 3) Manage and build relationships with site leadership and suppliers while balancing the day to day execution with long-term planning, 4) provide insights into the returns network strategy for existing and emerging markets. This includes overseeing adherence to agreements, delivery performance, cost control, and social responsibility. The RL Business Ops manager will be a strong advocate for our customers within the organization while also providing critical feedback to drive continuous improvement.
The RL Global Business Ops Manager is a forward-thinking and analytically adept leader who excels in executing strategies to drive both immediate and long-term business impact. With a deep understanding of business and product operations, this role demands the ability to operate across various functions and influence a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen and expertise in leveraging product operations to achieve exceptional growth within tight deadlines.
The position requires building collaborative, long-term relationships with a holistic business perspective, rather than focusing solely on individual products or suppliers. Responsibilities include a solid grasp of reverse supply chain operations, third-party supplier engagements, manufacturing models, and consumer electronics product lifecycle. Effective judgment is essential for addressing issues and driving change. Additionally, the role demands excellent relationship-building skills to engage, influence, and negotiate with both suppliers and internal stakeholders Sr. Executive levels.

The Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics team spans the globe from China, UK, EU, and the US (Kentucky, New Jersey, Virginia, Sunnyvale and Seattle). The team leadership is composed of long term Amazonians with deep knowledge and experience in the consumer electronics returns space and a passion for Amazon's peculiar ways. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of product or program management, or technology experience with a proven track record of executing the strategic vision
- Experience in Operations and Business Management
- Experience leading projects/initiatives across a matrix organization and driving toward consensus
- Strong communication skills
- Proven analytical / decision making and problem-solving skills- Advanced Degree (MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree)
- Experience converting insights into strategy and communicating complex ideas clearly and logically in written communication
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Lean Manufacturing experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
