Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Finance Manager to build a new team from 0 to 1 and deliver impact for Amazon Retail's financial systems that process tens of billions of dollars for Amazon. You will be responsible for managing a team that will drive business impact globally, delivering an exceptional customer experience, provide thought leadership in a fast-paced environment, and partner with vendor management team, product management, retail finance, and senior leaders to ensure success of this program.

The successful candidate will exhibit a strong sense of ownership, drive process excellence, and deliver business results by building relationships with global stakeholders. You will be expected to have excellent communication and organization skills and should be able to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to product, finance and business teams. The successful candidate must be analytical, have attention to detail, successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

A day in the life
1. Build relationships with Retail, Product Management and Finance Operations stakeholders WW
2. Engage stakeholders to drive business results and drive team KPIs
3. Develop regular reporting mechanisms and represent business metrics in weekly/monthly senior leadership reviews
4. Develop and refine standard operating procedures for the team
5. Perform ad-hoc business analyses and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and future initiatives
6. Perform headcount planning and forecasting
7. Coach/mentor the team and drive performance- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 3+ members experience- 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 4+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- Experience in Data Warehouse and SQL
- 4+ years of continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
