Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead North America's vehicle retirement program for our Last Mile delivery fleet. You will develop & scale our retirement initiative through technology and program management, vendor management, repair shops, DSP experience, and internal stakeholder management.

The Global Fleet and Products team is responsible for managing and growing the network of professional contract organizations that power Amazon's in-house last mile delivery service. Our partners work out of delivery stations across North America and are assigned delivery routes and packages 7 days a week that are delivered by their vans and drivers.

This Sr. Program Manager will have stellar business acumen, be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams, have a passion for developing and implementing processes in an ambiguous problem space, and be willing to roll up their sleeves to build a program that will significantly impact Amazon’s last mile delivery capabilities across North America. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. This candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Travel required up to 15%.

Key job responsibilities

- Leads, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program.
- Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading.
- Work backwards from the customer, introducing new ways to manage company-owned equipment.
- Scale new programs quickly and with high quality.
- Deliver features/services to drive continuous value to customers.
- Ensure key information cascades consistently and smoothly across stakeholder organizations.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, ops, finance, and other business teams to bring ideas to fruition.
- Develop automated solutions in partnership with technology teams.
- Is capable of taking accountability and driving planning, resolution and execution with his/her team.
- Responsible for defining and measuring internal and external performance standards.
- Monitors and reports on the progress of all activity within the program area.
- Develops and maintains financial reporting systems to track program costs and operational expenses.
- Evaluates cost trade-offs and optimization opportunities across the network to maximize ROI while maintaining service quality.
- Creates business cases for new initiatives with detailed cost-benefit analyses and projected financial impacts.
- Develops and implements AI-powered solutions to automate response systems for common escalations and inquiries.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
