The Data Center Infrastructure Planning Manager will lead a team of Network Deployment Planners responsible for addressing network scaling demands for our Data Centers in Frankfurt. The team's mission is to deliver network and server capacity on time with zero rework. The successful candidate will ensure the team develops optimal power, space, cooling, and cabling infrastructure solutions while collaborating with key stakeholder teams. They will manage escalations and prioritize tasks for the regional team, while also being responsible for growing the Planning Implementation Coordination Team (PIC) and overseeing their team's development, growth, and performance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Managing and mentoring team members

- Providing strategic direction
- Proposing technical solutions
- Creating sustainable processes and standards
- Driving automation opportunities to reduce delivery cycle times and improve quality without compromising network availability
Key job responsibilities
· Prioritize and assign tasks to team members
· Provide coaching and guidance for development of team members
· Provide oversight on project management best practices.
· Document and oversee adherence to team processes in alignment with the global team
· Manage inbound network and server capacity from forecast to landing on site
· Manage the installation of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
· Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
· Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
· Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
· Provide weekly report to the wider management team on risks / issues / blockers to capacity projects
· Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergent projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs.
· Recruit and train program managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels
· Host weekly staff meetings
· Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 3+ years of experience in management/team lead function
· 3+ years of experience in a data center technology role· 6+ years in a data center technology role.
· Organizational and planning skills with a broad understanding of infrastructure technologies installation and design.
· Experience developing operational metrics to drive efficiencies and representing your team/technical area to senior management.
