Your Role:

The senior director of content marketing is responsible for developing, executing and leading Tenable’s content strategy. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, especially corporate marketing, demand generation, and product marketing, to support global initiatives and business objectives.


Your Opportunity:

  • Develop and manage a holistic content framework to build brand awareness and permission with CISOs other C-level executives while driving consistency across all assets.

  • Support demand and pipeline creation with specific content initiatives for the various stages of the buyer’s journey. Measure and analyze content’s impact on pipeline and business growth.

  • Write and edit compelling short-form copy for digital ads, partnering with the creative and digital teams to measure, track and consistently improve results. Develop and roll out an a/b testing strategy to quickly experiment with new concepts and approaches.

  • Produce and launch exceptional web copy to build a consistent and powerful brand narrative and ensure SEO best practices. 

  • Leverage data to measure performance, synthesize insights and drive strategic improvement across all programs.

  • Manage creative marketing agency, contractors and other vendors as required.

What You'll Need:

  • 15+ years in content marketing, corporate marketing, journalism or related experience; 7+ years’ experience as a direct people manager; experience managing other people managers preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Deep expertise in building, launching and managing holistic content strategies that drive audiences to act.

  • Extensive experience across multiple content formats, from digital ad copy to web, white papers to emails 

  • Experience working with revenue marketing, sales and partners.

  • Ability to curate, interpret and leverage data to drive strategic improvements and secure buy-in from key decision-makers.

  • Ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed environment with many different stakeholders, including all levels of management.

  • Capacity to balance multiple projects with aggressive deadlines at the same time.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, English or equivalent.

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance. $184,000$245,333.33 USD
