About the team: The Data Platform Team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines, data lakes, and all components associated with PointClickCare’s Data Platform Solution. It is the team responsible for building the technology solution that manages the organization's data by ingesting, preparing, and providing the data for empowering analytic and business insight capabilities with the right information at the right time to drive data-driven decisions for PointClickCare and our customers.
About the role: PointClickCare is searching for a Software Engineer who will contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining large scale platform and data pipelines based on microservices architecture. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and debugging issues, ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of applications, and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. The ideal candidate is proactive, data driven, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. What does the growth potential look like?
• We focus heavily on employee career progression and provide many internal opportunities for upward advancement. An Int. Software Engineer will typically progress to Senior software Engineer. There are also opportunities to move into other departments depending on your areas of interest.

Your Key Strengths:
• Int. Software engineer with 3+ years of experience in Java, SpringBoot microservices.
• Solid experience with Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes on Cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Good hands-on experience with Relational databases (like Microsoft SQL Server), by tuning SQL queries and analyzing query plans
• Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints
• Significant experience building and working with systems processing large amounts of data in Real Time or Near Real Time.
• Knowledge of non-relational / NoSQL data store: Azure ADLS, Delta Lake, Apache Hudi.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline
