Your Impact 
As Axon's Manufacturing Trainer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective learning experiences for Manufacturing Operators, teams and leaders that are aligned with the business needs and organizational goals for manufacturing procedures and production. As the Manufacturing Trainer you will assist in the delivery and execution of new hire orientation, product specific training and professional development. You will contribute to continual learning and development activities, improvements and initiatives that serve all of manufacturing team members by ensuring that Manufacturing personal adhere to Axon work instructions and PPE requirements.

What You’ll Do

Location: Onsite
Reports to: Training Supervisor
Direct Reports: None

  • On-board and conduct On-The-Job training for new hires
  • Maintain and track training and certifications
  • Assist in the design and content creation of training courses and resources
  • Partner with Managers to identify and improve training gaps
  • Conduct line audits for process improvements
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Assist peers, engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel with projects as they arise
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with departments and internal stakeholders for on-going learning and development, employee engagement and retention efforts.
  • Train and support newly onboarded training team members
  • Create a positive, engaging learning experience that holds our organization to high standards for performance and reinforces Axon’s core values
  • Identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise assist them to improve their knowledge and skills. Provide feedback to associates on their progress.
  • Assists in the development of training processes, creation of training documentation, and operation processes.
  • Support the implementation and training of new products.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the manufacturing team, promoting the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve productivity and quality.
  • Provide support and guidance to operators during the integration of new automation systems into the manufacturing process to ensure smooth transition and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to stay ahead of updates and advancements in automation area, incorporate relevant changes into training materials and programs.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations of operator proficiency in utilizing automation equipment, identify areas for improvement and provide targeted training as needed.
  • Cross-functional partnership with other cross-functional operations teams.
  • Strictly adhere to company philosophy/mission statement/goals.
  • Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with internal standards and guidelines.
  • Follow Axon’s Code of Conduct and maintain professionalism in all training interactions.


What You Bring

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Application Skills
• Demonstrated ability to partner across teams/functions to deliver results
• Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
• Ability to be flexible, multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in system administration of training courses and resources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Institute for Printed Circuits Soldering Certification (IPC)
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• Bilingual

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Should wear common protective gear or safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and ESD Strap as required on occasion.
• Long periods of standing

Pay Transparency

The pay: Axon’s hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The starting hourly pay for this role is USD 17.45 in the lowest geographic market and USD 27.92 in the highest geographic market. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
