Role Description: As a Principal Product Manager (PPM) in the Privacy Engineering Office, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of privacy and consent management at Booking.com. As privacy regulations continue to evolve globally, we are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of platform capabilities across consent management, privacy notices, and data subject rights domains. You will collaborate closely with engineering, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our privacy solutions meet the highest standards and align with our strategic goals. Role Description: Own the product vision, strategy, goals, success metrics, and roadmap for the Privacy Engineering Office. Maintain a prioritization framework to facilitate clear decision-making, balancing customer needs, user experience, product quality, business value, technical feasibility, and risk. Partner with Legal, Product, and Engineering across the organization and provide strategic support for key initiatives and meeting new and existing regulatory requirements. Solve customer, partner, and stakeholder problems; gather data (health metrics, competitive intelligence, business metrics) to inform product direction and embrace feedback. Explain and support technical solutions, liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs. Qualifications & Skills: 8+ years of relevant product management experience, with a strong track record of solving complex, technical problems across large organizations Able to work cross-functionally and drive alignment towards shared goals. Strong problem solving and analytical skills; able to bring clarity to unknown problem space using data-driven decision making Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive consensus. Experience evaluating risks or overseeing processes where regulatory, legal, or compliance considerations are critical. Preferred: Deep understanding of privacy regulations (DMA, PIPL, GDPR, CCPA) and privacy solution development, including experience with compliance frameworks and legal documentation in e-commerce.
