Position: Field Service Representative (FSR)
Location: Onsite in DC office location 40hrs a week

We are seeking a versatile and tech-savvy Field Service Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys hands-on work, including deploying and installing advanced Dedrone systems across diverse environments, such as rooftops, fields, and event venues.

What We Need:

  • System Installation and Deployment:
    • Perform on-site installations of Dedrone by Axon systems, including mounting sensors, cameras, and other components in a variety of environments (e.g., rooftops, open fields, high-security areas).
    • Conduct wiring, cabling, and system integration tasks to ensure proper connectivity and functionality.
  • System Configuration and Testing:
    • Configure Dedrone by Axon systems according to site-specific requirements and customer needs.
    • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance before handover to the customer.
    • Provide technical documentation and detailed reporting for installations and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Customer Support:
    • Serve as the on-site technical point of contact for customers during installations and events.
    • Provide training and guidance to customers on system operation and maintenance.
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades:
    • Conduct routine maintenance and software updates to ensure system reliability.
    • Assist with retrofits and upgrades to existing systems as new Dedrone technologies are introduced.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and customer success, to ensure seamless deployment and support of Dedrone by Axon solutions.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols for working in diverse environments, including rooftops and outdoor installations.
    • Ensure compliance with all site-specific regulations and requirements.

What You Bring:

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of hands-on technical fieldwork, including system installations or maintenance.
    • Experience working with security systems, sensors, or networked technology preferred.
    • Familiarity with tools and techniques for installation in varied environments (e.g., rooftops, outdoor sites).
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Basic understanding of networking, including IP configuration and wireless communication.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding counter-drone technologies or security systems is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Axon’s ecosystem of public safety solutions is beneficial.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Comfortable working at heights, in outdoor environments, and under varying weather conditions.
    • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Education:
    • Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; certifications in networking or security systems are a bonus.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 85,050 in the lowest geographic market and USD 136,080 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
