We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: this is not applicable for EpiSci roles).

About the role

We are looking for a Capture and Proposal Analyst to join our fast-growing Defense Team. 

As the Capture and Proposal Analyst - Defense, you will help design and execute Applied Intuition’s approach to winning new mission software opportunities across the autonomous warfare ecosystem. You will quickly become an expert in the processes required to capture high-technology work. You will help develop a capture and proposal process to shape and win non-traditional opportunities. As our business grows, you will adapt processes to win larger programs of record, while maintaining our commercial business model. As a key member of our growth team, you will also develop internal proposal management processes, drive capture strategy discussions, and help address some of the most “big picture” challenges the company is facing with our product, engineering, marketing, legal, contracting, operations, and government affairs teams.

The ideal candidate will evolve in this role, gaining strategic and operational responsibilities that play a key part in driving revenue growth.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Monitor and identify Defense-related solicitations (e.g., CSO, OTAs, RPP, RWP, RFI, RFQ, RFP) of interest to the Defense Business Development Team
  • Help design and implement capture strategy for new customer acquisition through collaboration with the BD team, to include: market research, competitor analysis, customer and program analysis
  • Lead or support the drafting of compelling and compliant responses to Government Requests for White Papers, Information, Quotes, and Proposals, as well as market research materials that shape and win contracts
  • Assist in developing winning oral presentations, to include team training, preparation, and rehearsal
  • Collaborate across the Defense Business Development team to build and improve capture and proposal processes

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 4+ years of experience in the national security industry, commercial product development, or a defense-focused startup
  • Knowledge of the DoD innovation ecosphere and their acquisition processes (DIUX, AFWERX, DAFRCO, NSIN, SOFWERX, and/or RCCTO)
  • Ability to learn and take ownership of complex processes
  • Ability to work and thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
  • A passion for building a deep understanding of mission software and autonomous systems applications for National Security and Defense
  • A current DoD security clearance, or the ability to attain one immediately

Nice to have:

  • Experience with complex mission software solutions in National Security and Defense
  • Experience with commercial and/or fixed-price business models
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the DoD procurement and the DFAR

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $100,000 USD to $160,000 USD annually.
