How You’ll Support Our Mission

As a member of our People team, you'll report to the Senior People Experience Manager for this year long maternity cover role. You’ll ensure a seamless employee experience, from onboarding new talent to supporting key HR processes that enable our teams to thrive. You’ll be a trusted partner to employees and managers, providing expert HR guidance while championing a culture of inclusion, well-being, and continuous growth.

Your work will help create an environment where our people can focus on what they do best, making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.


What You’ll Be Doing – the day to day

•    Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing proactive guidance and support on HR-related matters.
•    Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including conducting local onboarding sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date UK employee records and HR systems to support effective HR operations.
•    Collaborate with the payroll team to facilitate smooth payroll processing.
•    Administer comprehensive UK employee benefits programs, collaborating closely with benefit brokers to ensure competitive offerings and excellent service delivery.
•    Manage health and safety initiatives to foster a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting employee well-being.
•    Lead disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies and legal standards.
•    Monitor sickness absences, escalate issues as necessary, and implement appropriate absence management strategies.
•    Manage flexible work requests, balancing business needs with employee well-being and compliance considerations.
•    Contribute to the development and promotion of workplace culture and morale initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
•    Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
•    Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner to complete ECNI Annual Returns and Article 55 reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
•    Assist in the development, update, and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
•    Oversee the termination process, analyse exit interviews to gather feedback and insights, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role: 
•    4+ years’ experience in a People/HR Generalist or similar HR role
•    Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and procedures, employment law, compliance, and industry standards in NI 
•    Experience with compensation, benefits and liaising with payroll 
•    Knowledge of performance enablement processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development initiatives. 
•    Experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. 
•    Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles 
•    Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes in HR. 
•    Exceptional communication and collaboration skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy 
•    Strong Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint in particular) 
•    Experience using HRIS platforms 


Who You Are – it’s desirable if you have any of the following:
•    Experience of GB employment law
•    Experience of ADP
