As a Data Center Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a remote team, and can be based anywhere within Netherlands. You will report to the US Director, Network Infrastructure, and have the following responsibilities: 

  • Monitor ticket queues for newly escalated issues; triage and act upon events discovered by our monitoring systems
  • Troubleshoot issues with our server and network infrastructure; triage, diagnose, repair or replace server and network components and infrastructure
  • Coordinate with other ZS teams to schedule and complete break/fix activities and work with relevant groups to ensure all corrective actions are fully validated
  • Engage and assist remote “Smart Hands” and other 3rd parties as needed as well as escalate to Data Center and Transit Providers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Update tracking documents, attend team meetings to plan and schedule maintenance and repair work and occasionally perform On-call duty

What We Are Looking For (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of experience working within production Data Center environments
  • Deep understanding of server and network infrastructure and componentry
  • Solid working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX systems
  • Experience with engaging remote Data Center “Smart Hands”

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with the Google and Atlasian suites of tools.
