Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, auditing, and SOX controls in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), MBA or MSA.
- Experience creating accounting memos and process documentation.
- Experience in implementing and improving business processes and systems.
- Experience with SAP or other large scale ERP system
- Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Alphabet's financial reporting. You will be responsible for managing key aspects of the monthly close process, driving process improvements, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and an approach to process improvement.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Manage and execute key month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
- Conduct technical accounting research on complex accounting issues, document findings and prepare accounting memos in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- Manage accounting transactions and implement system solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Create and deliver presentations on complex accounting topics to diverse audiences, drive process and system enhancements while maintaining efficient financial close processes and Sarbanes Oxley(SOX) controls.
- Build cross-functional relationships across departments to support company initiatives, ensuring adherence to global policies; Identify and escalate key issues to senior leadership, partnering to drive problem-solving and decision-making.
