Your Role: 

As the Federal Marketing Manager, you will be an integral part of the SolarWinds marketing team, helping us accelerate demand within the public sector segment by strategically developing, managing, and executing field programs and campaigns specifically targeting the Department of Defense and Federal system integrator segments. 

In this role, you will be responsible for building brand awareness, account-based marketing, thought leadership recognition, and creating demand with DOD and federal system integrators across the US. You will be responsible for devising marketing programs to generate quality leads and sales pipeline, stimulating the acceleration of the sales cycle, and building customer relationships. You will partner closely with our FED sales teams to deliver and accelerate their pipeline and support their enablement needs in exceeding objectives and revenue goals within the FED segment. 

Your Impact: 

  • Collaborate with the SolarWinds FED sales and marketing leadership team to align on clearly defined goals to create the annual marketing plan to assist in supporting pipeline goals 
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure their teams have the most relevant and impactful resources and tools to empower targeted messaging showcasing SolarWinds use cases and capabilities  
  • Measure, report, and optimize on dedicated demand generation plays to support quarterly pipeline goals 
  • Regularly communicate feedback from the field to Marketing leadership to drive campaign and messaging evolution 
  • Provide regular intent data insights on the industry, company, and contacts to assigned sales reps to identify potential selling opportunities 
  • Partner with channel management to develop and support marketing strategies to acquire new customers. 

Your Experience: 

  • Excellent communicator and team player – Ability to manage projects and clearly communicate your results back to stakeholders 
  • Detail-orientated and able to prioritize work based on deadlines and impact on the business 
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to drive and run programs independently 
  • 4-5 years in B2B Field Marketing, Events, and campaigns 
  • Proven experience executing integrated marketing campaigns, demand generation programs, and events that drive leads, pipeline, and revenue for both direct and through partner sales 
  • Experienced at supporting and partnering with sales and channel to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets 
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly while ensuring alignment with the company’s messaging and strategy as plans evolve 
  • Clear decision-making skills: - someone who naturally steps up and takes ownership of all aspects of their work 
  • Leads with a people-first mindset, including both internal and external stakeholders 
  • History of building trust across teams through written and verbal communications 
  • Willingness to travel to industry & regional events 
  • Detail-orientated and able to prioritize work based on deadlines and impact on the business 
  • Self-starter with effective time-management and multi-tasking skills 
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, 6Sense, Marketo, a plus 
  • Prior experience within the Federal space preferred but not required.
