Amazon Ads is seeking an Agency Development Manager who combines deep media expertise with strategic business development capabilities to accelerate growth across agency holding companies. This role will be instrumental in diversifying our client portfolio and unlocking new revenue streams by helping agencies develop sophisticated media strategies leveraging Amazon's full suite of advertising solutions. The ideal candidate will be both a media strategist and business growth catalyst who can identify opportunities within untapped categories, develop strategic media approaches, and generate new revenue through consultative partnerships with agency planning and investment teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and nurture relationships with media, investment, and planning leadership within agencies
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across underrepresented categories and clients
• Lead strategic planning sessions to unlock growth opportunities within agency portfolios
• Develop and share media best practices, performance insights, and case studies to drive agency adoption across Amazon's media ecosystem
• Partner with agency teams to build innovative media approaches that expand client investment across Amazon properties
• Lead media innovation workshops, portfolio analysis sessions, and training programs to elevate agency capabilities
• Create strategic growth frameworks to help agencies identify and convert new business opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance media solutions based on category needs and market opportunities
• 8+ years of experience in media planning, buying, or strategy roles at major agencies or digital platforms
• Proven track record of developing successful media strategies and growing client portfolios
• Deep understanding of digital media landscape, particularly retail media and Amazon's advertising ecosystem
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable business insights
• Experience in media stakeholder management across agency functions
• Excellent presentation and consultative selling abilities
• Understanding of category-specific media challenges and opportunities
• Experience working with major agency holding companies
• Background in retail media or Amazon Advertising solutions
• Strong understanding of cross-channel media strategies
• Experience in business development or new category growth
• Strong network within agency media departments
• Track record of driving portfolio diversification and revenue growth
• Experience in consultative media workshops and training facilitation
