We are seeking a self -starter to be part of the US Department of Defense team supporting the US Army. The role requires a team player with focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services within the US Army by engaging with internal stakeholders directly to influence adopting and delivering cloud computing solutions.

As an Inside Account Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology in one of our most critical business segments. Your broad responsibilities will include developing and managing new and existing customers as they serve critical missions in the Department of Defense community. You will drive business and technical relationships and launch customers at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key cloud related opportunities. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with the Account Teams, AWS partner, legal, marketing, product, contracts and executive leadership teams along the way

You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the environment. You will have day-to-day interactions within the larger account and with the community of partners that support the global account and its customers. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to drive an engagement up to the executive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and have the potential to obtain a security clearance.


Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Develop a growing book of business as part of a sales team.
• Drive business and technical relationships and close business by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities.
• Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the environment.
• Have day-to-day interactions with customers and extended account team.
• Have both a sales and technical background that enables you to successfully manage a high volume of activity, as well as experience establishing credibility with decision makers.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing, while understanding and identifying opportunities for customers
• Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales and marketing team.
• Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Limited travel

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• AWS Certification (Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer)
• Knowledge of existing and developing technologies
• Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, and web-based meeting applications
