Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience with Financial Modeling

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with data volume environments.
  • US Government security clearance.
  • Experience in SQL and Google tools and data infrastructure.
  • Experience in an unstructured environment, excellent at navigating ambiguity, managing multiple assignments simultaneously, and establishing clarity and structure.
  • Ability to influence business leadership across functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with executive management teams.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will perform Financial Planning and Analysis and Finance duties to support the growing Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) business within Google Public Sector. You will own and drive GDC business Long Range Plan (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and monthly forecasting and reporting process for Google Public Sector GDC. You will play a critical role in understanding business and cost drivers of Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) products by working with executive leadership across Global Positioning System (GPS), Product, and Cloud Finance teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead the overall Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) USG product, encompassing monthly reporting, forecasting, and business reviews in partnership with GPS Go-to-market, product finance, and GPS ProdOps team.
  • Develop and maintain business models, data tools, and analyses to provide insights into GDC revenue trends, including consumption patterns, discounting strategies, and sustainable growth drivers. Oversee Cost of business, Operational Expenditure, and CapEx budgets.
  • Collaboration with the GPS, GDC and Product teams to influence hardware procurement decisions, aligning with term business strategy while balancing investment tradeoffs. Prepare and coordinate comprehensive response documents articulating GDC and business plans for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and trends and accurately forecast demand for cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement range capacity that consider emerging technologies, aligning with overall business objectives.
