Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with hardware design and engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, execution, organizational change, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to break down complex programs, and have domain knowledge.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, manage change, and conduct technical analysis to support engineering efforts.
  • Excellent planning, communication and management skills and ability to apply agile methodologies.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Global Hardware Solutions Technical Program Manager, you will facilitate the design, manufacturing, and distribution of hardware products internationally. This position demands an understanding of engineering design as well as people and program management skills. The primary objective is to ensure that all of our hardware programs are coordinated, communicated and fully implemented on time, on scope and on schedule.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and
improving our understanding of the real world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Determine program phasing and metrics that address continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship.
  • Determine and collect data required to govern programs and drive stakeholder decision-making.
  • Anticipate change management requirements and develop change management rollout plans for programs including impact analysis.
  • Build relationships with senior program stakeholders to enable effective decision making.
  • Develop technical analysis, tools, and processes that support engineering execution, excellence, and velocity.
