Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • Experience developing Internet products and technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and scaling a user-facing product.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, or similar tools.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and execution.
  • Experience with ML and modeling.
  • Experience with privacy and legal implications of user data handling.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising and Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use Google Ads to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow.

  • Collaborate with multiple cross-product and Google Ads teams.
  • Drive the strategy for multiplying user growth by developing features with user value.
  • Identify and scale new ways to apply consented data to drive user and business impact, in collaboration across Google product teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, BD, Search, Ads, etc.) to identify use cases and drive initiatives.
  • Apply advanced ML/modeling techniques in areas like survey serving and receipt parsing.
