The Senior Materials Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for the overall financial health of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and for ensuring a diverse and continuous supply for innovative, highly integrated consumer products.
This individual has a business-oriented mindset and partners with local and remote Operations, Engineering, and Software teams to drive the development, implementation, and management of product costing, budget, and the Supplier Plan of Record (SPOR).
As the business representative, the MPM captures, documents, and communicates financial exposures, supply risks, and expenditures related to their product. They are involved in all stages of the product family's lifecycle to ensure that we meet all financial targets and maintain qualified material availability through the end of the product's life.
Additionally, the MPM supports weekly Executive Product Line reviews, which assess performance against budget, target, and actual costs, as well as the SPOR status.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management, Finance, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to set product cost target and guardrails.
- Drive initiatives with the Cross-functional Team to create a detailed cost reduction plan to meet or exceed product cost targets.
- Work alongside the Cross-functional Team to identify the cost implications of engineering and process changes.
- Conduct regular cost reviews with Executive Management and thoroughly analyze every aspect of your product costs.
- Plan and manage tooling budget and spend.
- Architect and establish a solid Supplier Plan of Record (SPOR) for the product(s) along with Engineering, Software, Supply Chain, and other Ops functional teams to ensure time-to-market, supply continuity, manufacturability, scalability, and sustainability.
- Coordinate with EMS partners to determine the product purchase order cost for xVT builds.
- Manage purchase price variance claims due to engineering changes, component obsolescence, or forecast discrepancies.
- Drive successful implementation of the SPOR during the development cycle through mass production prior to transferring to sustaining team.

- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- 5+ years of managing complex technology projects working directly with engineering teams
- 5+ years in supply chain and/or manufacturing of consumer products
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong business acumen combined with technical aptitude
- Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create new processes or simplify and improve on current ones
- Ability to influence others and facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with consumer electronics, preferably streaming media players or smart TVs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources.
- Experience leading and defining requirements and driving closure.
- Product Data Management system experience.
- Proven record of relationship building and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
