The Compliance Shared Services (CoSS) organization's mission is to build shared services for managing regulations. The SPIDER (Streamlining Planning, Deployment and Post-Release) team within CoSS is responsible for the technical infrastructure and tools to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting Selling Partners. SPIDER is seeking a Manager III, System Development with experience in support and systems engineering or equivalent, with a track record of driving projects to improve software development, business, and customer service support-related processes. A successful candidate will be an experienced leader who is willing to take on challenging responsibilities, has a metrics-focused approach, demonstrates customer focus, and has the ability to lead in multi-functional and fast-paced environments. You'll be leading a team of support and system development engineers, driving automation and process improvements in our AWS systems, monitoring and improving day-to-day operational efficiency, and being self-motivated. The role also involves driving smaller-scope development projects and building custom tools.
Key job responsibilities
• Hire, develop and manage the team of support and system development engineers
• Create strategies to decrease the mean-time to resolve tickets and the number of tickets that reach engineering teams
• Ensure software systems are developed and maintained in good state and all security risks are mitigated
• Decrease the technical system debt and infrastructure simplification
• Drive cross-system migration strategies
• Contribute in defining the yearly roadmap
• Seek out meaningful methods of reducing the human operator requirement• Experience in engineering team management
• Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of engineers to improve their skills, and make them more efficient
