Buy with Prime Design is seeking a Visual Designer who will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of our fast-growing program. We're looking for a designer strong in visual communication, specializing in creating engaging and cohesive systems for websites, mobile apps, and brands. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in design systems with a customer-obsessed mindset to create scalable, intuitive solutions that serve both our customers and partners.

In this role, you'll contribute to the evolution of visual design systems that empower merchants to seamlessly integrate Buy with Prime into their direct-to-consumer experiences. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visual narratives that demonstrate the value of our program while ensuring our design language remains consistent, accessible, and forward-thinking. You'll help build a comprehensive design system that maintains perfect sync between Figma components and coded elements, featuring thorough documentation and continuous evolution based on user insights and performance data.

Key job responsibilities
• Contribute to comprehensive design systems and component libraries in Figma, ensuring scalability and ease of use across large design teams.
• Transform customer insights and performance data into compelling visual solutions that enhance our customer experiences and steer the direction of future designs.
• Thoughtfully leverage Amazon's brand elements with internal and external design languages to craft seamless visual experiences.
• Create best-in-class visual design assets, including illustration and iconography systems that communicate complex concepts simply.
• Create persuasive visual presentations and pitch materials for merchant partners.

The Buy with Prime UX team’s mission is to craft experiences, enabling every entrepreneur in the world to reach every customer in the world through every channel they can imagine. We work backwards from customer needs and apply insights-driven decision making to articulate a north star vision, clarify product strategy, and define a near-term MLP that is intuitive, accessible, and scalable. We ruthlessly prioritize effort based on business needs and customer impact, establishing durable mechanisms to increase designer efficiency and raise our quality bar. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we invest in the well-being and professional development of our people and maintain a transparent, empathetic, and collaborative culture.- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI design, design systems work, and visual communication. A deep understanding of typography, color, digital execution, and great user-centered design solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in visual design.
- Highly proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software.
- Strong understanding of interaction design principles and animation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Visual Communications, HCI, or related field.
- Effective cross-team collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects.
- Experience working with data and insights to inform design decisions.- Has relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo).
- Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with the details of the business or the technology.
- Understanding of front-end development principles.
- Skill in illustration and iconography design.
- Excellence in verbal and written communication with strong presentation skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed as needed.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
