Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • 10 years of experience in program, project management, strategy and operations or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience with product strategy, executive communication, presenting to executive audiences, market analysis, data analysis, project management, project planning, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with leadership initiatives, across multiple products, functions, and geographies.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Understanding of and passion for evolving global platforms and 'big tech' regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g., analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g., running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Android Ecosystem Strategy team identifies and tackles questions and opportunities related to the growth and business models of our Android and Play platforms and products. In this role, you will define strategies for the stewardship of these ecosystems in a rapidly changing environment including evolving regulatory frameworks for our products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Assess new and emerging regulatory topics and their potential impact on our ecosystems, e.g., in the context of regulation for kids/minors on our platforms.
  • Help drive multiple large initiatives, with stakeholders from different products and cross-functional teams.
  • Solve problems with the requisite product/business acumen to connect regulatory topics and product innovations with financial performance, user metrics, product operations, and Google’s priorities including how various teams are involved.
  • Help evolve commercial frameworks and platform policies for emerging platform regulations going forward.
  • Serve as a thought leader and trusted partner to senior leadership across the organization. Leverage trust, network, and relationships to influence desired outcomes.
