Quality Assurance Engineer, Project Kuiper Mobile App

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Kuiper Mobile App team. As a member of our team, you will work on developing and executing test plans for our Native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) applications. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design stakeholders to ensure we are releasing the highest quality product for our customers around the world

Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plan, automation, and methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
- Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and project managers to understand software quality requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Define release planning and provide input on the readiness of software for production deployment.
- Work with component teams to identify the pain points in their area and provide technical guidance.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for various software components, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Identify and document defects, issues, and potential areas of improvement in the software development process.
- Perform root cause analysis of complex issues and work with the development team to resolve issues and enhance the overall product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve testing processes.
- Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness.- 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
- Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in a QAE role- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- Experience of using test case management tools (e.g. Test Rail, TestLink) and issue management tools (Jira)
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
- Experience with performance and scalability testing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
