Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and delivering strategic communications to senior leadership, aligning messaging with organizational goals.
  • Experience in leading and influencing ambiguous efforts that span multiple teams, functions, and geographical areas.
  • Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing priorities while working independently to drive projects to completion with attention to detail.
  • Ability to draw insights from data, recommend a path forward, and manage a project across groups/through recommended actions.
  • Ability to adapt through change and work with ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic, and analytical skills.

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration, and more).

gTech's Users and Products (gUP) Shopping team plays an integral role in Google's growth, empowering businesses to thrive through innovative product solutions, insights, and communication.

As part of the Consumer Experiences team within gUP Shopping's Product Development organization, you will be at the forefront of shaping Google's consumer shopping landscape. You'll collaborate with Engineering, User Experience Research (UXR), and Business Development to bring exciting new products and features to life, ensuring a positive experience for both users and partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$156,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  • Launch and land new consumer-facing shopping product features, focusing on improving consumer usability and advocating for product changes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the product life-cycle to deliver product feedback, ensuring new and existing features meet the needs of users, represent and advocate for the user with internal partners, leveraging data-driven user insights to influence product change and create compelling consumer facing experiences.
  • Manage operational aspects of product launches, ensure communications, and support infrastructure.
  • Support new pilots/alphas/betas to ensure products are tested before becoming generally available at scale. 
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders to gather product feedback and drive insights, streamline escalation paths and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities, and build supporting business case to product and engineering.
