Responsibilities:

SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC is hiring for the following role in Miami, FL: Account Manager, Latin America to sell the next generation of SolarWinds software solutions and products to enterprise decision makers and information technology (IT) departments leveraging technical knowledge and computer engineering background. Duties include: contact existing and prospective customers to discuss how specific IT products can meet their requirements, quote prices and bid specifications, negotiate terms of sales and service agreements, and prepare and submit sales contracts; travel to customer sites to evaluate IT needs and recommend products based on specifications, emphasizing product features that address business requirements and extensive technical knowledge of product capabilities; prepare sales presentations and conduct technical and non-technical product demonstrations; identify potential customers and provide superior customer service during the evaluation process; create quotes and new customer accounts, complete sales reports, coordinate service contracts with channel partners, and close sales for IT products and services; advise prospective customers regarding product pricing, availability, and technical advantages; maintain accurate customer records and activity and pipeline reports using SalesForce;  utilize technical expertise in SolarWinds software products and technical sales model to directly sell IT products across Latin America (LATAM) using a consultative sales approach; collaborate with Sales Engineering teams to understand customer requirements, promote company products, and share information regarding business trends and industry developments; provide feedback to product design teams to better meet customer needs and to engineers regarding IT products; provide customers with ongoing technical support and advice on product usage; stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies; and identify new business opportunities and channel partnership and local market opportunities. Up to 20% international travel required. Multiple openings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related software sales occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following:

  • Technology solution sales and account management experience in Latin America;
  • Maintaining account records, activity, and pipeline reports using SalesForce;
  • Managing the sales cycle and meeting target sales metrics;
  • Communicating key business concepts to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Developing long-term strategic relationships with executives, customers, and sales partners;
  • Sales methodology; and
  • Managing and closing complex sales-cycles for technology products and services.
