AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work-life integration.  Our hybrid model combines a mix of in-person (at client site or AlixPartners office) and remote working.  Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building AI-powered solutions and products for both external and internal clients, collaborating closely with them to understand their unique business challenges and objectives. Expect to drive innovation, work in a creative environment, and create novel ideas and products.  You will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI algorithms tailored to solve specific problems, and ensure high-quality data preprocessing and analysis. This role involves integrating AI-powered solutions into client systems, monitoring performance, and making necessary improvements. Additionally, you will provide technical support and training to ensure successful client adoption of AI solutions.

Expect to:

  • Lead a team to assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered tools and solutions for both external clients and internal firm use
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
  • Utilize machine learning, deep learning, and statistical techniques to build predictive models and algorithms.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of AI solutions 
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and integrate them into projects
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed AI-powered solutions, making improvements as needed
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in AI methodologies and practices

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative field
  • 10+ years of applicable professional experience
  • Consulting experience and well-developed consulting skills
  • Proven experience in leading data science teams and managing AI projects
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript
  • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Experience in deploying AI solutions
  • Capability to be a creative, innovative problem solver - but using simple ideas
  • Knowledge of any of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar plus familiarity with at least one ETL tool (such as Alteryx, KNIME, SSIS, Pentaho, or DataStage)
  • Motivated to discover and learn new analytical techniques and software tools to improve the quality of our work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and travel, if necessary, to meet client demands
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $180,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
