Console Engineer

The Role

The Console team, part of the OCTO Developer Experience org, operates an internal-facing single pane of glass developer portal that streamlines all development and operational tasks, providing a seamless and efficient workflow for building developer tools. Console is used today by thousands of Block engineers daily in business critical settings: easy deployment, service provisioning, secret management, database monitoring, user administration and so on. We utilize the latest and greatest technology stack: React.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Jest and Node.js. You will help us expand support to all business units and developers across Block.

You Will

• Develop, and deploy incremental improvements to our front-end platform
• Write reusable components and libraries
• Write and review engineering design documents and drive product design
• Work closely with many teams at Block
• Write clean, concise and well-tested code
• Work autonomously with no micromanagement or oversight

You Have

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the front-end development process (JavaScript, DOM, CSS).
• Strong troubleshooting skills through the entire stack, front-end to back-end.
• Experience with React.js stack.
• Good eye for UI and UX.
