Our Auckland Accounting and Reporting Advisory business is looking for a senior individual to join their Treasury Services team as either a Manager or Associate Director based on experience. We are ideally looking for someone with 6-10+ years of experience in Treasury accounting and valuations.

About the team:

You will be joining our treasury services team providing treasury accounting services to some of New Zealand’s largest organisations. As a Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading our outsourced treasury accounting services, with a particular focus on financial instruments, hedge accounting, and valuations. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality and accurate financial information, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

Your typical day will include:

· Review and oversee the delivery of treasury accounting services including performance of month end close and reporting, financial reporting and other required services by our corporate clients.
· Lead and participate in meetings to discuss accounting implications of new hedging strategies and financial instruments.
· Stay updated on financial reporting changes and best practices in treasury accounting.
· Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
· Analyse financial data and reports to support informed decisions and recommendations.
· Engage with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored services.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:

· Be a qualified charted accountant (or similar qualification)
· A background in professional services or in large corporate treasury functions
· 5+ years of experience post qualification
· A strong understanding of financial instruments including (foreign currency, interest rate swaps, commodities and more)
