Description
The team is looking for a Senior Google Analytics Consultant to support the GMP Services team. They must have broad knowledge of the digital marketing analytics space from current industry trends to technical expertise, including how to build and customize analytics and tag manager implementations for sites and mobile applications. This person will be one of our analytics implementation experts. They will help advise and guide clients on Google Analytics 4 best practices, reporting techniques, & troubleshooting steps. You will lead project teams in data collection strategy, digital marketing tagging, privacy/consent, and will become (if not already) one of the top-100 digital analytics experts in the world!
Role and Responsibilities
Lead project teams, advise clients, and collaborate effectively with team membersWork with GMP Operating Unit clients, under the direction of the Senior Director of Analytics Service, to provide both ad-hoc and project-based support for those
clients.Operate within Jira Service Management, part of the Atlassian suite of tools, helping triage/field
requests.Develop domain expertise in client’s business space to drive resultsDemonstrate a grasp of the fundamental importance of clean data to empower successful digital marketing initiatives, in support of larger business objectivesIdentify gaps throughout the customer experience and recommend solutionsSeek opportunities to clarify what client needs (not just what they ask for) and look for opportunities to expand client relationships and projectsEnsure client expectations are met and results are deliveredArticulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writing; understand the audience and tailor messages accordinglyExemplify good consulting skills, diplomacy, and effective messaging, and mentor team members in the same vein; share expertise freelyAdapt to a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to overcome technical and business challengesDemonstrate high intellectual bandwidth, as well an ability to prioritize and work on the right things at the right timeVolunteer suggestions for team improvement and take the time to help push initiatives forwardActively contribute to the greater community by participating in meet-ups, conferences, blogs, open forums, or open source initiativesOther responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree (required) plus at least 4 years of relevant work experience in marketing, consulting, and/or mediaStrong leadership and communication skills, both with internal team members and with clients.
This is very collaborative and client facing
role.Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and have implemented, configured, and customized the
tool. Deployed Google Analytics through Google Tag ManagerHas focused in one or more of the following areas: digital analytics, optimization, statistical modeling, consumer insights, and/or marketing analyticsUnderstand how to read and interpret reports
Can speak to big data and know what's possible regarding
activation.Exposure or working knowledge of other tag management systems (i.e. Segment, Tealium, etc.) is a
plus. Experience with BigQuery or have used data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is a
plus. Previous experience working with Global Delivery teams is a
plus. This person will be assigned to lead global delivery projects as needed.
