Job Description

Remote

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

The Role

As a Cash Content Strategist on the Content Operations team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing the knowledge ecosystem that supports Cash Customer Operations (CCO), Cash Risk Operations (RO), and Cash App customers. Positioned at the intersection of content creation, process development, and product knowledge, the Content Strategist is responsible for translating business needs into clear, accessible, and effective content. You’ll work closely with content writers to bring these changes to life in our internal knowledge base and external support content, working as a bridge between Content and various business units. This includes setting best practices for content creation, assessing content impact, and leading projects to enhance our content ecosystem's design and functionality. By driving the development and continuous improvement of support content, Content Strategists ensure that teams can perform efficiently, handle cases effectively, and provide best-in-class customer experiences.

You Will

  • Develop and implement individual project strategies that align with overall product or program initiatives, focusing on long-term scalability and user experience.
  • Act as a liaison between content, product, and operations teams to gather information and align content needs with business and product roadmaps.
  • Oversee the production of internal and external support content, as well as standards documentation. Continuously audit and update this content to maintain accuracy, consistency, and relevance. Own the content creation process for high complexity initiatives and launches.
  • Structure and manage knowledge repositories to ensure ease of use, scalability, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use performance data to assess the effectiveness of content and implement changes that improve accessibility, usability, and overall impact.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for the Risk & Compliance pillar, collaborating with Content Specialists to ensure that internal and external support content aligns with the relevant product or program.

You Have

  • 3-4 years of content creation or professional writing experience, preferably in a product or customer service environment (Education/Degree will be considered)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build cross-functional partnerships and explain complicated product and policy concepts in simple, jargon-free language using Cash App’s voice
  • Skilled in creating clarity from ambiguity and breaking down complex projects into manageable, interdependent deliverables.
  • Able to manage multiple content projects with different requirements, and set and adhere to launch deadlines
  • Creative and critical thinker with examples that show your ability to solve challenging issues, find innovative ways to harness the full potential of existing tools, and advocate for novel solutions.
  • Passionate about empowering Cash App customers (internal and external) through educational content that both solves problems and helps them grow their understanding
  • Even Better:
    • A university degree in marketing, communications, english, or related field
    • Financial or tech Industry experience, especially in Risk or Compliance
    • CMS or Knowledge base management experience
    • Digital media proficiency
